The Montgomery County SPCA and Catholic Charities Domestic Violence Services of Montgomery County have formed a partnership to assist domestic violence victims and their pets.

Assistance will come in the form of a safe shelter for the pet. While a victim is in residence at a domestic violence shelter, the animal can be temporarily housed at an animal shelter, boarding kennel, or foster home.

Care for the pet will be provided until the victim of abuse can care for their pet or until they can find a friend or family member to care for their pet.

When coupled with other valuable services from other community agencies — such as counseling, legal assistance, medical care, childcare assistance, and job training — this service helps abused individuals and children escape the violence and start a new life.

We are in need of temporary foster homes to help these families. If you have room in your home to help. Contact

    Thank you
